​Ghana Police Service Lauds Church

The Accra Ghana Police Command presented a citation in honour of the Church of Jesus Christ Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for furnishing its new conference facility. The event was held at the Church’s conference room located on the Independence Avenue, North Ridge Accra on July 27, 2016.


Receiving the citation, Elder Terrence M. Vinson, President of the Africa West Area of the church reiterated the church’s commitment towards contributing to the development of the Ghanaian society. He stated the Ghana Police is part of this commitment, hence the current donation by the Church. 

Timothy Y. Bonga, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Accra Ghana Regional Command, expressed appreciation of the Police Service towards the kind gesture and urged other organizations to emulate the wonderful example. He said the initiative will serve as a good operational support to the Police Service before, during and after the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.


Also present at the occasion were ACP Paul Ayitey, Deputy Commander; CS Faakye Kumi, Accra Regional Crime Officer and ASP Efia  Tenge, Public Relations Officer  of the Accra Regional  Police Command among others.
