Ga Paramount Stool Chief and Queen attend Kaneshie Stake Conference

The Accra Ghana Kaneshie Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints enjoyed an exceptional bi-annual Stake Conference on Saturday, September 22, 2019 as the Supreme head of the Ga Paramount Stool Dzase; Thomas Tawiah Ololai Botchway (Nii Teiko Abonua-IV) and wife (Naa Aba Desnsua-I also known as Naa Odokailey-I, Sempe Odupong-Kpehe/Denkyira)- Queen Mother and family graced the Conference. (A Stake is comparable to a Diocese).

Elder Marcus B. Nash, Africa West Area President of the Church was the presiding authority at the conference with Elder Solomon I. Aliche, an Area Seventy, Flint Mensah, President of the Accra Kaneshie Stake and other Church leaders present.

The Supreme leaders expressed their enthusiasm in joining the church. The Chief and his wife had recently returned from a United Nations Conference which was held at Church headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. They had the opportunity to tour the Church’s facilities while in Salt Lake City.   “I really like the way the Church is organized and your true doctrines and teachings about Jesus Christ. My perspective about the Church has really changed since I started to visit The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will soon come for baptism.” - Nii Teiko Abonua-IV said.

Elder Nash commended their willingness to join the Church. He said “listen to the missionaries as they begin to teach you about the restored gospel. Study the Holy Bible and The Book of Mormon; pray and ask God if this is the right Church for you and you will receive an answer from the Holy Ghost.”

The conference attendees had the opportunity to listen to their leaders who took turns in speaking to them on Keeping the Sabbath day holy, paying of tithe and offering, influence and guidance of the Holy Ghost, and enjoying the blessings of the Restored Gospel.

Elder Nash encouraged each member of the Church to prepare spiritually for Stake Conferences and to take at least one other person with them to be edified and encouraged in their faith. He also reminded them of the plan of salvation and admonished them to always obey God’s Commandments so that the Holy Ghost would be their constant companion.

The Kaneshie Stake Choir rendered several beautiful songs under the direction of brother Alexander Ntiri-Ampomah.

The Accra Ghana Kaneshie Stake has a Church membership of over 3,000.
